Privacy policy
The Utah Frontier Technology Network (UFTN) respects the trust you place in us when you share information. This policy explains what we collect through our website and membership forms, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you register for membership, submit an inquiry, or otherwise choose to contact UFTN through this site, we may collect your name and contact details, including your email address and optional phone number. We also collect the membership option you select and the information you include in a form or inquiry. An organization name is optional for individual membership registration and required for corporate partnership inquiries.
The information you provide helps us respond to you and manage your relationship with UFTN.
How we use information
UFTN uses information you provide to administer membership, respond to questions and partnership inquiries, and communicate about UFTN activities. This can include UFTN outreach, newsletters, and announcements.
We may also use basic analytics to understand general site use and improve the UFTN website. Necessary browser storage helps the site operate, including remembering a registration confirmation during your session. Our custom analytics events do not include the names, email addresses, phone numbers, or messages you enter in forms.
When information is shared
UFTN does not sell or rent personal information. We do not share it with other organizations for their own independent marketing.
Some service providers help UFTN carry out its work, such as Attio for contact and membership administration and providers that host the website or deliver email. Information may be processed by these providers as needed to provide services for UFTN.
If you choose a paid membership, you enter payment details through PayPal checkout, which is subject to PayPal’s privacy policy and practices. UFTN’s registration forms do not collect your payment card details.
Keeping information safe
UFTN takes reasonable steps to protect information it holds. No website, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, including membership administration and responding to inquiries, or as needed to meet applicable legal obligations. The time can vary depending on the information and circumstances.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from promotional newsletters using the unsubscribe option included with those messages. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided, subject to information UFTN may need to keep for membership administration or legal obligations.
To make a request, reply to a UFTN communication and describe what you would like us to do. UFTN will review the request and respond.
Updates to this policy
UFTN may update this policy as its practices or services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently updated. Please check back for the current version.
